Yes it's Friday time to sit back and enjoy time with the family this weekend, instead of just go go go. We have tons of plans for this weekend one of which is taking the dogs for walks and going to the Farmers Market. Also some more house de-cluttering because my yard sale pile needs to be bigger & my house less cluttered. I dread the day I have to price all that stuff because goodness its a ton of stuff.

Our website is getting a makeover as you can tell. I had a very nice gentleman contact me and offered to do a new layout...for a small fee of course. Its looking good so far. I wanted clean simple, black and white. Why? Well our content is normally colorful so we don't want the page to take away from it. They still have tons to do, like update the social media icons with something more custom. The only thing I need to do is get up to date head shots and photos for the projects. I'm a tad bit over excited and cant wait till its finally complete, then beg Jason to let me buy the domain to make this blog a bit more legit. I'm ready to be a bit more professional...even though in reality i'm not.

You can expect a update on the desk this Tuesday. I  haven't gotten far on it, but any progress is always good. Right? I'm looking forward to when its finished, and surprisingly it's not been as expensive as we thought. The only problem with this is its too small to hold our bad mama jama computer that we use. So I see this desk just becoming a reading spot or craft place. Which is okay with me, that just means we need to get a better desk for the computer one day.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

TGIF

Well this has been one crazy week. I thought that once I finished my entry way that I could relax a bit and enjoy snuggles with Jason and the dogs. Pft that flew out the window when I found another project for me to do. A woman's work is never complete.

The next project i'm working on is big guys! Not like whole room makeover big, but like a expensive piece of furniture big. You might or might not of noticed the added "Knock Off" tab on our blog. It will slowly be getting filled with tons of delicious furniture knock offs by yours truly. I cant give to much detail on the first piece, just that it will be placed in my living room for everyone to drool over.

I might not do a craft post this coming Tuesday because I'll more than likely still be working on this piece. You can still look forward to the Motivation Monday post, and our Link Party that Wednesday though.

I've also been cleaning like crazy, well trying to this week. I've taken it upon myself to downsize the amount of clutter in our house. I'm starting a new monthly rule in the Koenig Casa one weekend out of the month Jason and myself are going to spend cleaning and not spending any money. We basically spend that weekend doing stuff around the house that doesn't require going and buying stuff. For instance I've been wanting to use the fire pit again before the warm weather hits, I just don't want to go buy wood to do that. Luckily both the front and back yard has tons of tree limbs that fell this winter. What a better use for those suckers than to burn in the pit, easy clean up and bam I have a reason to roast marshmallows. SCORE! We also replaced our fence and all the old panels need to be broken down and put to the curb for the trash.

I'm sure he's going to complain about it, but taking one weekend out of the month to complete those jobs around the house you've just been putting off slowly adds up. Plus you wife wont nag about it anymore.

Spend a weekend reorganizing all you'r important paperwork and filing that big stack of papers that's about to fall over on your counter. I feel like i'll be giving the impression to our neighbors we're responsible adults when in reality the inside of our house is a hot mess.

Dear Friday

Dear Friday

Woot Whoot thank you Friday for getting here so quickly. I look forward to getting home and pouring a nice big glass of wine, and sanding down a credenza through out the night. Yeah that credenza that I somehow managed to squeeze into the back of my civic last week. I'm just now getting around to giving it the TLC it needs, and it needs alot. I totally plan on cutting off an inch of it at the bottom. Put some nice legs on it and stain that sucker down.

Surprisingly enough this week has been very uneventful Monday and Tuesday were so slow. We did go out to dinner with Jason's family Tuesday in celebration of his Grandmother Pats birthday. It was a very sweet way to celebrate her even though she's no longer with us. That woman was great to everyone in her family, and you could see the love in their eyes when they would go to visit her.

Wednesday and Thursday we spent our nights painting and loving on the dogs. It was perfect! I've been going back and forth between decorating our guest bedroom and starting on a new project for a competition. If you're wondering what competition, its Creating with the Stars I think it would be a great experience for anyone, yeah okay they have good prizes but the chance to work with one of those bloggers would be AMAZING! If you haven't heard of it then you should head on over and look into it. And if you're not going to participate in the submission go and help some of the entry's out.

CWTS Blog Star Banner

Who wouldn't want to work with any of these folks? Their websites and ideas are just as amazing as their profile pictures. I cant wait to finish my entry and submit it into the contest for a chance to be one of the twelve contestants. Even if I'm not chosen I look forward to keeping track and cheering on my favorite contestant.

I hope to have a room reveal for you next week and folks it's not the guest bedroom. The following weeks will be little projects from the reveal. So keep checking back and get prepared to have your mind blown

Dear Friday

I feel like I've gotten more done this week than I have this whole year. Just this past weekend I cleaned out our garage and separated everything into three piles. Garage sale, Jason's Crap, and My treasures. I also caught up on all the laundry (praise the lawd!) and put it away.

Jason & mama P bought me Orchids for Valentines day. I've never felt more loved, in return I cooked Jason a delicious dinner and let Mama P get visitation with Mocha. Mocha was very excited getting to go bye bye and visit her other half of the family. Hopefully she doesn't eat up too many of my mothers and sisters shoes while she's there. While she's gone I can wash all of Ginger's dogs toys and not have to worry about Mocha dragging them outside in the dirt.

I bought an elliptical this week and have been going hardcore on working out. If you're a big health freak and are interested in the exercises I've been going on a three month workout plan that I found on the internet. I replaced run 10 mins with 30 mins on the elliptical slowly working my way with the resistance.

Monday was a Monday like any other. We ate dinner at mama K's, I planned out dinners for the rest of the week, I have three crock pot recipes to try and i'm so freaking excited about them all. I also have a few vegetable dishes to try, slowly getting Jason to eat his veggies. As always you can expect all the recipes Sunday night or bright and early Monday morning.

Not alot of exciting things have happened this week. Which gives me ample opportunity to catch up with bloggers and read whats been happening in their lives. Our hot water finally got fix..that was exciting especially since we've been taking cold showers up until then. I did get some freaking amazing pillows for the guest bedroom....In the color....YELLOW! I'll have a post on Tuesday showing these gorgeous yellow babies.

Folks before I forget I got the epic piece of credenza from my local Goodwill. I seriously had my heart skip a beat and started having a minor panic attack. I ended up leaving it there then went back during lunch the next day hoping nobody bought it. I had

Heart palpitationsons the drive to get it.

Some how it managed to fit in my tiny Honda civic.

Mama P and I decided to meet up Thursdays for dinner at Hamburger Mary's. My little sister came (She's got one more year until she graduates High School dawww!!!). Turns out Hamburger Mary's is a LGBT diner/bar that has Drag Shows certain nights. Yup Thursdays was one of those nights. I refuse to make fun of people and how they choose to live their lifestyle. I've had plenty of people judge me and my choices when I was growing up and it hurts. I have a bi-racial sister who's gay and I love her the same as I always have. I did enjoy myself and everyone was very friendly even when they decided to pick on me. This is a unique way to spend time with the family and let Heaven know we will always love her. Way to think outside of the box mom!

Friday was just a blur until it came to the dinner. People that ish was AMAZING!! I cant wait to share what I made with you on Sunday. It's a seriously brightened my cooking experience this week, because Tuesdays dinner was a fail. I'm seriously getting really into making different recipes..especially in my crock pot. I've already shopping around for a second crock pot, that's how hooked I am. I've already came across a ton of recipes that Jason actually enjoys..and that boy is picky!

Before and After of the first week of working out. I don't notice any difference but hey ya gotta work for it. My legs feel like jello and my back is screaming, after a few long baths you ignore it. My husband has been very supportive in this little health adventure of mine and has even participated some.

Dear Friday

I've been absent for the first full week of February. Alot has gone on so I'll try to catch you guys ups really fast.

The first work day of every month is my Target shopping day. Don't you just love picking up a Starbucks drink and walking around for an hour and a half. I ended up leaving with a down comforter and new pillow cases for the guest bed. Part of me wants to start sleeping in there instead of our bedroom. It just looks so comfortable and soft. Speaking of the guest bedroom, I'm halfway done with the headboard. That will be exciting when its finally done. Want a sneak peek?

In other exciting news...maybe not to you but my favorite author just released a new book in her series. I've been searching every book store in town to see if they carry it. Chloe Neill just knows how to create a story. I'm like a crazy Chicagoland Vampire fan, but not one of those scary crazy ones. Jason was a doll and took me last Saturday to pick it up.

Who's ready for tax returns? Turns out we're getting less than last year but hey money isn't everything. Jason plans on getting a shot gun with a portion of it. The other half might go toward a new water heater since ours literally just went out. Remember folks the earlier you send it in, the sooner you'll get it back. Lets not be lazy and get this shit done.

You know how Jason and I made a resolution to do something new or exciting every month. Well February is going to be different. Instead of doing something strictly to benefit us I decided to help others. I've been keeping an eye out on the local Facebook pages for people in need of items. So far I've been able to help a friends family by giving them the twin bed we have in our garage. Next a coworker was in desperate need of a bed frame...which I had in the garage. Now I've located a church that could use the tons of acrylic paint and UN-opened crayons that I have.

It feels great being able to clean out the house and finding people who can use my unwanted stuff. Instead of just throwing them all away. Let's see if I can get rid of the rest. Until then it's just going to sit on Jason's pool table...he doesn't use.

Thomas Bagel's came out with Banana Nut Bagels. Its like an orgasm of the taste buds. Those guys are genius! I've seriously ate my weight in them just this week alone.

I ended up taking a trip to the hospital for fainting. Turns out I had an infection (With no symptoms) that caused this. Also my birth control doesn't help this situation. That's the reason for no post last week. Sorry I failed you folks. I do have some seriously battles wounds from having blood work done, but nobody wants to see those. I did however get alot of snuggles with my doggies that you want to see...RIGHT?

Photo: The dogs thought they could take better care of me than my husband. Ty honey for the past few days.

Photo: Saturday naps with this cutie.

I'll take what I can get from theses cuties!

Granny Ruby turned 81 this Wednesday. We decided to take her out to dinner just the 4 of us GIRLS NIGHT!! I'm pretty sure I ate the weight of a 7 year old. She seemed to enjoy herself, even while fiddling with her hearing aid. She's still very Witty and snarky as ever.

I've officially declared Tuesdays "Bring your crock pot to work day". If you're looking for a way to make everyone at your job angry and hungry at the same time. I decided to cook Smoky BBQ Pork chops and Mr. Koenig LOVED it. Served with a side a Mac & Cheese..Jason was down for the count. Top button undone and everything. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of it finally finished. The Chops just fell of the bone, and it was so moist. I'll be putting the recipe on our weekly rotation.

Anyone else not doing anything major for today? No?
Well Jason and myself are staying home with some nice T-Bone Stakes, Wine, and home made berry cobbler. I'll have the recipe to that cobbler on Sunday because I bet it's going to be DA BOMB! I'll also link and post all the other recipes from this week. (Because Jason is picky and I need to keep record of the dinners he likes some how.)

Finally I have awesome plans with mama P this Saturday. We are going to hit the thrift stores like a bunch of bad mama jamas. I'm not searching for much in particular just a nice coffee table, entertainment console (I can up cycle), and a dresser.

Dear Friday

I've been a chipper mood this week. I chalk that up to my favorite t.v. shows starting back and being very productive in the home front. Hell even the people around me are in a good mood (Bloggers, Family, & Coworkers). All this positive energy is great for the last week of the month.

I'll add that I'm typing this post on three cups of coffee so EVERYTHING is chipper right about now.

Last Friday Jason and I went to see Jeff Dunham Live. I tried to get some photos of Jason and myself but unfortunately I'm not a pro at the selfies with my cell phone.

As always Mr. Dunham never disappoints. It was a great show and had us laughing till the end. The in-laws did great for this years Christmas gift, Jason and I will always remember this show looking back. I seriously lucked out and got some amazing in-laws when I married Jason. (I'm not ass kissing when I say that, I really mean it...be jelly)

There's some things that I've found on the AMAZING Internet that I've been looking at over and over this week. One because they make me giggle like a two year old and second my nerd side just shines with pride every time I watch it.

Saturday's yard selling adventure with Jason was an experience. I've yet to determine if it was good or bad. Its great having him come with so we could spend more time together, but the down side is there's less room in my car for treasures. Jason's starting to get more into our little furniture upcycle hobby, in hopes that we could sell some of the finished products. All this started from our distressed dresser I got tons of emails wanting to know if it was for sell. The one problem with us starting to sell our upcycles is Normally after a piece is finished...I don't want to part with it. I am 100% sure it needs to stay with us...Oh I'll find a spot for that sucker.

Our scores for this weekend were these.

- A Belt Sander for $10
- Work Pants & Skirts
- Stone Ware Party Serving set
- Extra Tall kid/dog gate
- Books on my favorite president Abraham Lincoln
- Blooming Onion Cutter & Directions

Its funny that we had a complete list of things we were looking for while out yard selling. And as always you never find what you're looking for, but come home happy with what you did get.

How did I ever live without this Blooming Onion cutter BTW!!!

We do have some amazing plans for this weekend though. I'm pretty sure Jason will be bribed to build a few things for the Guest room using stuff around the house. I'll be cooking something new in the crock pot to help persuade him.

Last weeks crock pot creation was stuff mozzarella meatballs.

It looks as delicious as it tasted. We'll let Jason continue to think I came up with this mouthwatering creation when in reality Betty Crocker is the master mind. I'm lucky to think of a new topping for the hot dogs & Hamburger nights we have twice a week. (Ain't nothing wrong with hot dog and hamburgers for dinner.) Heck some nights I've been known to step up the cuisine with Tomato soup and a ham sandwich. One step at a time becoming the perfect housewife...psssh!

We're slowly starting on the Guest Bedroom and are maybe 25% done. I wanted to get a head start because it takes me FOREVER to write these blog posts. If you're looking for a little sneak peak here's one.

The first post for this room will be out Feb 3. & it's a two projects in one post type thing.

I think I'll leave off on this note. Here's hoping you all had a lovely week and next week is filled with awesome sauce.

Dear Friday

We have been some serious lazy bums here at the Koenig house this week. Going to bed before or right after 9pm & just recording our t.v. shows to watch at a later date. (I believe Jason and I are just relaxing from last weekends huge cleaning spree.)

Which is Riddikulus (Insert Harry Potter reference)

I recently dove head first into another room makeover. Jason got onto me and said "You can't just go from finishing one room and starting another. Take a break in between." Easier said than done. Never the less the first stages of Guest Bedroom Makeover is completed. The walls are done!!!

Wednesday I was suppose to have a Mother & Daughter date. Mama P and I get our nails done ever two or three weeks...she called and canceled. Thank goodness there's a salon near the house because mine are looking pretty horrible from after the Dining room makeover. They needed some serious TLC, besides who doesn't love a good American Manicure & hand massage?

Jason & I busted out the Fire Pit for the first time this year (& the first time since we got it) We roasted some hot dogs while the dogs ran around outside playing.

Photo: Wennie roasting time!

The dogs have been driving us crazy this week. Our young one Ginger has a huge separation anxiety issue. She starts freaking out 10 minutes before we leave for work. (whining and howling) I've started to leave Animal Planet on for her. Maybe the noise will help calm her.

I did some serious cleaning in the office recently, but not enough. Slowly we'll be moving our 200 sq ft bedroom office into the kitchen. I wanted to have a completely empty room for a future project or for a just in case room.

Our Thursday tradition is starting back up. Our favorite show King of the Nerds started back this week. This might be the one day we stayed up past 9pm this week. During commercial break I can read up on some new blogs I just found.

Tonight Jason and I have a "Date" night to go and see Jeff Dunham LIVE. Big thank you goes out the the In-Laws because tickets to that show was a Great Christmas gift. Lets hope traffic isn't bad on the way home or we'll be late to the showing.

We have some great plans for this weekend also. I'll be taking pictures for next months blog posts & working on the guest bedroom. Jason has decided to go yard selling with me this weekend in hopes to find some GREAT furniture. (Fingers Crossed the weather is good)

Here's hoping next week is great also!

Dear Friday

It's been a fantastic start to 2014. I'm not one for New Years resolutions, but this year I decided to try it. Now I didn't go for the normal lose X amount of weight. I decided to be more Optimistic this year. I normally find the bad in everything, while Jason just sees the greatness to come.

We both also decided here recently to try something new & exciting every month. To start this month off right we went zip-lining with friends. I slowly got over my fear of heights the further along we went. The guides we were given showed us a great time and made the experience five times greater.

This past week I also found a lost dog on a main road near our house. I must add it was minutes before we had a bad thunderstorm hit. It was friendly enough to just come right up to my car and jump in. If you should ever find a lost dog the quickest way to find the owner is to get the dog checked for a chip (PetsMart does it for free). Unfortunately he did not have a chip, or collar so I was stuck taking him home and printing up flyer's to put out in the morning.

This little guy was very adventurous after 5 mins of being inside our house. Sure he was afraid of our dogs, but who wouldn't of been when there's three other dogs running around. When we woke up the next morning to put out the signs, the owner beat us to it and already had some out. I felt great contacting them and bringing them their baby...who's name was Taz. Turns out their fence had blown over and Mr. Taz escaped.

We also started on our next room makeover which should be finished some time in February (Don't hold me to that). Our guest bedroom has become our third storage place. As of right now our living room is ground zero because I moved EVERYTHING out of the guest bedroom. Here's the before shot of our guest bedroom.

I'm very grateful Jason's been home the past couple of days. He's taken it upon himself to fix some of the items on his honey do list. Yesterday he finished our fence line, and fixed the garbage disposal. That Macho Man! I hope to come home to some washed laundry and a fixed dryer. That would make the ending to this week PERFECT!

(That and a Martini)

Here's hoping the rest of this month has more great things to come.

TGIF: Ready For The Weekend

WHATS UP FOLKS!!!! I am beyond excited today is Friday!!!!

.....you can tell with all the exclamation points right?

Well let me tell you why...we finally got our love seat in. Our living room now has extra seats for people to place their butts on when they come to visit. I was worried that this Christmas there wouldn't be enough spots to sit. The love seat defiantly needs to be broken in because its not as comfy as the couch.

...If you took "broken in" a dirty way, get your mind outta the gutters.

So since we finally got that in its time for finish our living room update. I have a helper at the house all this weekend. Jason took some of his vacation time and he's going to regret it this Saturday and Sunday. Speaking of Jason...His company Christmas dinner was great. Here's the only picture I've gotten so far.

YES all snazied up. Crazy thing is they've had it at this fancy hotel for the past two years. This year I decided to wear a white dress. I was one of three women who wore white. All the hotel employees thought Jason and I got married and kept congratulating us. After 4 drinks we just ran with it and started saying Thank You. Defiantly one of those things you look back on and laugh.
Back to the living room conversation, since we have all our furniture I'm working on accents and wall decor to put the finishing touches. I did however pick up some new pillows this week. Our dog Ginger LOVES them.
Displaying 20131212_225608.jpg

In case you cant see them good, which you'll get a better picture come Monday when we publish the finish room. Its the Better Home & Gardens Faux Leather Pillows they sell at Walmart. I've been waiting to buy these for three months now and finally broke down and did it.

Best Decision EVER!!!

So whats on the agenda this weekend is accents for the living room. We went and mixed both our styles together and came up with something AMAZING! I hope you all have a lovely weekend and may it be as productive as ours!

TGIF!!!

HURRAY Its Friday!
Okay folks nothing exciting has happened this week unless you count putting up Christmas lights. In which case I totally find that exciting, but you might not. I finally got to use some icicle lights I bought from a yardsale for $5. I'm now in full Christmas mode and am looking for lawn decorations on sale. i'm really wanting two light up deers something Fierce. I'll even deal with the neighborhood kids placing them in an inaproprate ways on a daily basis.
Now because nothing major has happened this week Jason and have been able to get things together for his company's Christmas dinner this Saturday. We've bought a majority of the things we need, all thats left is me getting my nails done and a spray tan. Its like prom all over again!! Keep your fingers crossed I dont come out orange.
We still havent got our loveseat yet and we paid for it over two weeks ago. I'm starting to get a little impatient. Ashleys has totaly put a wrecking ball in my decoration plans before Christmas. Lets hope I can pull a mirical out of all this delay. However you best believe the moment it comes in i'll let you all know.
I've have a list of items I want for our home. One includes a deer head, and another unique dresser. i've been searching everywhere for a dresser, but with no luck. So i'm thinking about upcycling my grandmothers sewing cabinet again for a project yes the BEAUTIFUL Coral and Gold one. If you follow us on twitter you would know I plan on redecorating our guest bedroom to look like the cabin we stayed at during our Honeymoon. Okay it might seem kinda creapy when you read it like that. So let me reprase...I want our guest bedroom to have a rustic theme to it. THERE! Better? Keep in mind this theme could completely change because i'm not 100% set that I LOVE it. All I do know is I dont want it country but then again isn't rustic a bit country? GAWWW!!!
Oh this past weekend while putting up Christmas lights, we were able to clean out some of our garage. My friend came and picked up my mothers dining room table and chairs that she originally wanted us to dip dye, but then changed her mind and bought a new set of table and chairs. WHEW! Long explanation done! I'm slowly getting the garage back to park my car in during the winter months. Yeah it might not get that cold in Florida for snow but I still get ice on my windows. I already leave late for work in the mornings, I don't want to leave extra extra late having to wait for my windows to defrost. All that's left in our garage is a twin bed and frame, a haft circle bar, pool table, home decor crap, and tons of boxes that need to be tossed. So if you live near Lake Asbury and are interested before I post on Craigslist email thekoenigscreate@gmail.com
PEOPLE here for some decorating news. I'm looking into doing something I'm terribly frightened of. Wall Stencils! I have tons of plain boring walls and need something to give it a pop. So I'll defiantly be putting a post up soon and give you three different walls and let you help me decide. Part of me really wants it in our kitchen, but I'm scared after its done will it mesh well with my decor in the future. But I cant worry about that until my blasted love seat comes in....HURRY UP!!!

TGIF

Whew is it just me or has the month of November flew by way to fast? This week has been a whirlwind for me. In the beginning I was rushing to get my house clean before our trip to Georgia for Thanksgiving. I'm not the only one who likes to get their house spotless before a trip right? Right? and now yet again I'm rushing to get this post published. Anywho here's 5 awesome things that went down this week.
First off I found a dress for Jason's company dinner. I had less than two weeks to find one, so I feel very relieved now. Its a ivory color with gold bedazzles on it. I'll definitely be investing in a spray tan before the big dinner. Shopping for the dress was just too fun, I took Jason with me and drug him literally into every store...twice before finally deciding to go back to the first store and buy the original dress. Ohh I'm an evil wife sometimes. I also needed to get two toy for their toy drive that night. I can mark that off the list since I picked them up that same day also.
Second, I found out one of my cousins is pregnant! I couldn't be more excited for her. She posted her first belly pic early this week and she's just too adorable. By far the best information I found out this week. I cant wait till she starts her registry.
Thirdly we went up to Georgia for Thanksgiving. I got to spend some much needed time with my Granny Ellen. Of course like every year we ended up leaving with a car full of stuff. Home decor items, Food, last year we left with a dog. While there Jason made a new friend, a malamute mix, the paws on this baby are bigger than my palm.
Fourth, I ended up getting everything I wanted for Black Friday, which in return left me with getting all my Christmas gifts for folks. I'll be wrapping them here shortly to put under our gorgeous tree. Walmart this year was a mad house the fire marshal shut ours down. Thankfully I hit alot of the early bird sales before hand.
Finally my father in law proved yet again why hes the best person in the world. He got me three bags of venison, right now I'm currently looking up recipes. Now I just need him to find me some free antlers. I did try a chili recipe with it called Cowboys Chili which was amazing. I cant wait to try it in a Shepard's pie tonight, my tummy is already growling with anticipation.
I hope that your week has been just as spectacular as mine. You can now mark Thanksgiving off your list and start planning for Christmas. I'm currently figuring out our menu for that....I'm thinking DUCK! Quack Quack
Love,
Jamie

TGIF

Well I'm so ready for October to pass. Don't get me wrong I like Halloween as much as the next person, but this year we are choosing not to participate. Yes we're that grumpy couple this year. I just don't feel like buying 11 large bags of candy and running out half way through the trick or treaters. Then dealing with grown ass people driving golf carts around our neighborhood not even dressed up as anything...or worse not dressed enough. Then some kids having the nerve to say "That's all I get?" Yes you ungrateful bastard you only get three kit Kat's. You better be respectful or you get nothing. You're already a few candy bars away from me giving you an apple instead. Too harsh? Well you haven't met the rude kids in our neighborhood. I can actually say I was a respectable child. Jason and I both agree that if we ever decide to procreate, the child will always be respectful. A swift smack upside the head didn't do us any harm when we forgot our manners.

Alright enough ranting here's whats gone down this past week.

1. I took my mother and grandmother out to dinner at Cracker Barrel. Where I bought a tree skirt and wallet, that I honestly didn't need. Dinner was great, the conversation was a mixture of weird and funny. Granny Ruby had a good time and that's all that mattered.

2. Jason and I had our first "Car wash date" during which I yelled at the pregnant lady who didn't do her job and press the button when she should have. The button in question turns on the light to tell me when to put my car in neutral, so I don't run over her pregnant self.

3. We still haven't gotten rid of our pool table. Charlotte is still sitting out in the weather, which has currently been rainy.

4. We painted the white walls in our dining room. Of course it was the wrong color grey, because that's just how we roll. However for now it will just have to work at least till another 6 months pass and I force Jason to help me paint it again.

5. We no longer have a coffee table. I broke apart our pallet table Jason made about a year ago for another project I'm working on. Its honestly taking longer than what I thought it would, but it will be worth it in the end.

6. We don't plan on posting alot the next two month mainly because we have alot going on and we barely have time for projects. We're also getting dragged down alot with the whole dining room. It's been making us look at projects with disgust right now. We want to finish that before we start on a different project.

TGIF!

Yet another week has passed! Hurray its October!!!! Jason and I both love this month, besides the face that this will be our 1 year anniversary this month. We both actually like Halloween and giving out candy to all the little kiddos. Every year there's this group of little boys that always come by our house to see what design we make on our pumpkins. They always ask to take one home, I think this year we just might let them since Halloween falls on trash day. So the pumpkins will be sitting in our trash can for a whole nother week. Okay onto whats been going on here!

1. OUR DINING ROOM CHAIRS ARE COMPLETED!!! Yes that requires it to be in all caps. In case you missed the post with all the lovely pictures you can view and read that here. It was a fun project and quite simple.

2. Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and The Big Bang Theory have started their new seasons. And I'm so excited. Is there any TV series you count down to?

3. We are still trying to sell our pool table! So Charlotte can be parked somewhere during the cold months. We had someone come look at it yesterday and they want a brand new pool table for less than three hundred. Lets be serious you cant find a pool table bran new for less than $500.

4. I started working on my next project so that I can still use it during this year. Its the welcome mat for our front door. Think OWLS! I'm also trying to decide what project to do next. I really wants to start on a coffee bar, but I have so many other projects I already have the materials for. I really need to finish those before I start something new.

5. One of our dogs Ginger has taken to chewing herself. We put on the cone of shame during the night. She looks so pitiful but I have no other ideas on what to do. She doesn't have fleas and she stays inside. I'm days away from taking her to the vet in hopes they figure it out.

6. Jason got a promotion at his job. His title is now senior, and I'm super excited for him!

7. Our 1 year anniversary is 9 days away. While we promised no gifts I still planned out a dinner and movie. Cant let you know of the place its a surprise.

8. Well we got rid of the sectional couch and fixed our leather sofa. I see another room makeover already churning in my mind.

9. Now that our dining room is almost done I'm getting the itch to paint it again. I'm thinking a grey of some sort.

Well I hope you loves had a wonderful week!

TGIF!

Ohhhh what a long strange week its been! We've been super busy this week both with our regular jobs and the blog. Its been fun but I'm ready to relax this weekend with something stronger than coffee. Since its been a crazy week of course you should know all the main events that happened.

1. Jason and I got a patio set, it needs some touch ups where rust has started showing. But since its going to be sitting on our patio it wont be out in the elements. Along with the patio set, we got a fire pit! I have no clue where its going but I'm super excited since Fall is right around the corner. I cant wait to sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee, or make smores during the cool nights.

Yeah It needs alot of work! Ignore the mess please.

2. We started looking for me a new car Sunday afternoon AND BOUGHT ONE. Say hello to Charlotte! This was my first car buying experience and it was great I walked away with the exact car that I wanted right down to the color and interior. You should also check out this cute owl air freshener I got from B&BW's line called Sentables. So of course since we went car shopping I didn't have time to do any home decor crafts. Yes I know total bummer, but had I known that buying a car would take 7 hours I would of did the craft Saturday alone. I have to head up to Jason's job to get the tires checked and rotated because its ridding ruff and the tires are loud.

As you can tell Mocha really likes it.

3. We're are slowly trying to pick up the habit of making the bed every morning before we leave for work. While Jason complains and says "Why its just going to get messy again?" Idk there's just something about coming home to a made bed and feeling some sort of comfort that at least one thing in the house is clean. Besides it only takes like what 1 to 2 mins max? Now if I can get rid of the bad habit of biting my nails.

4. I picked up a sweet corner linen cabinet that I'm going to use in our dining room as a beverage spot. Who needs a beverage cart when you can use this baby. It needs ALOT of work and we cant start till we finished our other projects. How much did it cost? NOTHING! My mother had it in her storage shed and I remembered it from when I was in middle school and helping store it in there. All I had to do was find a way to drill the lock on the shed since my little sister lost the key. I've not decided on the color yet, since it will be placed in our dining room...obviously not white we have a ton of that already. Maybe a grey or a light blueish green? Idk we will see when it's time comes.

5. Om gosh this week I've had sudden urges to go on cleaning sprees instead of shopping sprees. Our trash men officially hate us now. We seriously need to get better organised. If you have any tips on that please send them our way. Our main clutter spots are the bathroom, pantry, and our office. I still feel like I didn't put a dent in them.

6. Its been non stop raining this week. Which is killing my Crape Myrtle we just planted. Normally I wouldn't complain of the rain but enough is enough. I cant go walking because of this, and our dogs refuse to get their feet wet in the grass so they pee on the patio.

7. We are trying to sell our pool table and bar. Craigslist is not helping us, nobody wants to drive all the way out here to get a pool table. This is the only draw back living out in the middle of nowhere.

8. I figured out another project to do after I finish all the ones I have no. A Coffee Bar! This photo gave me inspiration!

I just wish I could copy and paste this into my kitchen. Its soo adorable! Next project on the list is a coffee bar! Now I have to sudden urge to finish up all our other home projects in a hurry.

How has your week been? Rainy? Sunshine?

TGIF!

It's Friday time for another weekend full of crafts and coffee! This week seemed to go by pretty quickly for me, I don't know about you. I wanted to start something new and let our viewers see a little inside our live here at The Koenigs. With that being said here's some important things that happened in our neck of the woods this week.

1. I started back walking and working out with my coworker and my mother. Tuesday thru Thursday during those days I get to rock out my new runing shoes. Which in turn has made me start drinking unsweetened Green tea, and dehydrating banana's, and apples for healthy snacks. I guess I should add I got a dehydrator finally after many months of searching for one at Goodwill. I ...well my mother scored one for $6.99 and this sucker is bad to the bone. Now to get Jason to start eating healthy with me...easier said that done.

2. Jason got his test results back from his ultrasound from last week when he had a kidney stone pass. The doctor didn't see any stones and suggested he go and get an xray and MRI on his back. Now theres alot of speculation but Jason could of passed the kidney stone before the ultrasound was done, which would of led to it not picking up anything. However I understand the doctors want to make sure and cover themselves. He's yet to decided if he's getting the xray or MRI done. But they gave him some muscle relaxers for unknown reasons.

3. I lucked up and found some sweet brown fall leather boots. I talked about them Here! I bought them from Belk when they had their sale on boots and I was also able to use their 20% off coupon. I scored them for $40.00 plus tax. I didn't get a picture of mine, but I found a picture of them in black. Just to give you some idea.

4. I also picked up some lovely grey fabric to reupholster those dining room chairs I'm been procrastinating on WHICH BTW the number of chairs increased now we have 6 chairs all mismatched. Maybe ill stop being lazy and hop to it this weekend. Anywhoo cant you picture this fabric up against some crisp white chairs?

5. I'm wanting to go thrift store shopping again! I'm in search for and a beverage cart, or something nice for inside that I can put our alcohol and drinking glasses. Yeah I'm jumping on that ban wagon.

6. Finally one of our babies Mocha came back from visitation with Mama Patty. My mom loves our dog Mocha and owns the brother of the litter DJ. They are such partners in crime. My mom likes me to let Mocha stay and visit with her for a week at a time. I also picked up some of her home made spaghetti sauce while there. so much for working out.

How was ya'll week? Any excitement? Or was it smooth sailing all the way?
