 Katelyn from learningcreatingliving has jumped on the succulent craze just like me. However she found a way to do it with faux succulents. Its the perfect decor for folks who cant keep plants alive. I've been looking for a gift for mothers day and BAM! Problem solved. I even love the cute little holders she's got them in.

Its Wednesday whos all excited about that? Only a few more days left till the weekend.

I had to share that with you guys it had me cracking up last night.

Anyways lets get on to the Feature from last week and the new link party.

I love drinking, but unfortunately my hand eye and crafting ability is non existent when I decide to partake the the sweet nectar of alcohol. Not for the Crafty Lumberjacks, them genius decided make some simple little fridge magnets with bottle caps. I have tons of bottle caps stored for a project that I forgot all about, and I'm now in desperate need of magnets for my fridge more than some silly bottle cap serving tray.

I mean look how cute those things are! Unfortunately the only beer selection my local grocery store stocks is; bud, bud-light, miller, and the rest of the redneck family.

Wednesday Link Party

Its already Wednesday? Well time has flown by over here, I chalk that up to computer problems. Hows yalls week been so far? Any exciting news? If its been a bad week that's nothing a night of wine and carbs cant fix. Speaking of carbs if anyone has a great recipe for loaded baked potatoes they want to share i'll forever be you BFFL complete with one of those matching friend bracelets.

Last weeks feature is something different. In case you don't know I have a weird relationship with my dogs. They're family to me, If i could I would take them with me to go furniture shopping and let them pick out what they want. So it comes as no surprise that I found Artsy VaVa dog bed from a old ammunition box to be the shiznitz!

If I had a tiny dog you best believe I would have one of these in every single room for them, unfortunately all three of mine weigh above 60 lbs. Instead I have those huge Orthopedic dog bed for my fur babies. When I say huge I mean I could use it as a bed. Only the best for my children. There's something about re purposing a random item most people would throw away into something useful that really deserves to be featured.

Yall remember those days when I would get the link party posted right at 8am EST on Wednesday mornings? Then this past Wednesday I totally thought it was Tuesday when in reality it was in fact Wednesday and I just lost a day? What What its Wednesday time for another link party. Has this week just flown by fast for anyone else? I feel like it was just Monday and I was fixing my third cup of coffee. Now it's Wednesday and I'm having to catch up on washing clothes and doing the cleaning at my house. Don't get me wrong I'm glad the week is moving by quickly that just means Saturday is right around the corner filled with yard sales and thrift stores with mama P. Fingers crossed I find a new entertainment center.

I know you're wondering who's last weeks feature was and even though its after Valentines day you could still use this chick's ideas for any other holiday. The repercussions for eating all that would require what 3 hours on my elliptical to burn it all off, but hey I'm so okay with that.

I'm late getting the link party posted. I slept in and the there goes my morning of sipping coffee and working on the blog before I head to work. The snooze button is just so bitter sweet. It's like those sour patch kid commercials but in reverse....sweet at first and then naughty when you're running late and trying to get ready in 30 mins.

Lets get back to the reason for this post..the Link up. Last weeks pick was a delicious one. I'm all about food now a days, and I needed this to help me build up my self esteem because last night's dinner was such a fail. But these guys just make everything they cook or bake seem just effortless.

Exciting news here at the Koenig House. I got a new CAR!!!! You have no idea how exciting it is. After driving 5 years in a 2001 Doge Neon with no a/c, the defrost doesn't work, and things breaking non stop. I'm so relieved to now drive something I can fully depend on. What did I get? OHHH!!! A 2011 Honda Civic LX....best part it has A/C. Which is a must here in Florida. I've even given her a name "Charlotte" she needed something classic. Buying this car caused me to not finish up my craft projects for this weekend. Had I known that buying a car would take 7 hours out of my day Sunday, I would of did my crafts alone on Saturday in between helping moving furniture.

Jamie's Fave: I love Halloween and I love Halloween Crafts! I don't plan on making any crafts this October, since I promised Jason I wouldn't. But the link I chose was by coconutheadsurvivalguide. It reminds me of The Vampire Diaries which starts back October 4th. I'm pretty sure you could get alot of the materials used in this craft at the local Dollar Tree. Well except for the crow.

Jason's Favorite: Was repurposeing a audio cassette case over at wesens-art. Talk about one crafty lady. She finds way to repurpose the things we just throw away now a days. If you're looking for a cute project go check her out.

Alright folks I'm in a bit of a conundrum. I have maybe two more Fall themed projects left for this month, one can technically be considered a regular home decor since you could use it year around. But I have a ton of dining room crafts at my disposal at the moment, and I'm itching to do them.

I was able to get the fabric needed to reupholster those two dining room chairs I showed you on my previous post for next to nothing. I also got enough to make some chevron dinner napkins if I choose to...just need to figure out how to use my sewing machine.

So I'm at a bit of a delima as you can tell. I only have enough time this weekend to complete on craft. I guess i'll have to pick one using the full proof method of "innie minnie minney mo".

Mid Week Link Up #5

Folks we almost didn't have another mid week link party today. Yesterday Jason had what the doctors says is a Kidney stone passing so we were at the doctors. Also Today he goes to get an ultrasound to be on to safe side, and to make sure that's really whats going on. Before you worry Jason is doing fine now, they prescribed him some pain medication and he's being a trooper. Turns out Kidney stones are hereditary. darn genetics! So with this in mind I got up extra extra early to get this baby written and ready to publish at 9 o'clock. We both now can have projects to look at while we sit in the waiting room for his appointment. We hope you all are having a great week so far and remember it HUMP DAYYYYYYY!!!!

OOPS A DAISY

Sadly folks there will be no mid week link party this week. I know we're slacking! Heck we didn't even post our first fall home decor project. And that is completely my fault...its finished and currently sitting by the front door. I just haven't had the energy to go outside and set it up for pictures. I finished all the props for it, I really just need to stop being lazy and get a going.

Jason and I did pick our favorites from last weeks party though. Hurray something for the blog has been done! /clap clap

Jason's favorite was from The Questionable Homesteader who created Butcher Block counters. We both thought it was a very unique idea. He enjoyed the step by step tutorial and cant wait to see more.

My favorite way from Coconut Head Survival Guide. I love before and afters and I really love white cabinets. I now want my own little command center, but Jason says the office is all I need.

Its the last week of August...on to September!!! I honestly cant wait Jason and I have some days off of work the second week of September that we plan on doing house work during that time. Our home is in much need of a pressure wash, the carpets need to be deep cleaned, and our ceiling fans has a layer of dust so thick that I'm 100% sure something is growing. When do you do heavy cleaning at your house? Also along with September comes four Mondays worth of DIY Fall home decor crafts.

Jennifer Woodward's Chocolate Cake W/ Orange Buttercream & Chocolate Ganache. It looks absolutely delish and that's coming from someone who doesn't like cake that much especially chocolate cake. I can feel my waist expanding when I look at this. Bet it would be perfect with a nice cold glass of milk. Yummy! She lists all the ingredient and gives very helpful directions for making this cake on her blog over at Thimbles Bobbins Paper & Ink.

Christine over at Little Brags shared a delightful post about her vacation to Arazona and some of the places she visited. By the end of the post I wanted to visit the store she mentioned and will be forcing Jason to take me there if we ever travel near there. I also want one of everything in her pictures.
