2015

I feel as though when 2014 ended a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. By the end of the year I vanished off the blogging world except for a few post here and there. I literally wore myself out that I had nothing left. I made some mistakes in 2014 that led to me over working myself and extinguishing my creative flame...until now!

There comes a point at the beginning of the new year where you have to sit down and re-evaluate some things. Yeah I did that both for life and for this blog. You could say they're sort of New Years Resolutions, but do you really have those for a blog. I'm just going to call them 2015 Blog goals, because 2015 Blog New Years Resolutions just doesn't sound right.

So here they're!

1. Do Me: This sounds strange but toward the middle of last year I started comparing my new blog to some of the major well established bloggers out there. I thought I needed to keep up with the amount of content they post a week. I didn't think that my weekly blog post was good enough to keep people around. I thought I needed to post 5 times a week, so once I started doing that I ran out of creative juices & I ended up posting about things that were trending and far from my style. Which led to me not putting my heart in each post. Which leads to a train wreck for a blog. I received more positive feed back & more views back when I was posting what I loved...because you loved it to. I want to get back to the beginning and love everything I share on my little slice of the Internet.

2. Finish Site Redesign: Redesigning this whole site by myself has been trial and error. I have in my head this vision of how I want TheKoenigs to look. I feel confident that it will eventually be complete and up to my satisfaction if I continue to work on it. At some point I'm sure I will have to enlist the help of my tech savvy husband. Until then I'll continue to learn on my own and tweak what I can. I hope to add a few thing on here and make it very unique also a bit more sophisticated and easy to read.

3. Organization: I've officially purchased my first planner. It's time to get organized this year and become more proficient in keeping me on track. I've always been bad keeping on track with everything. Take this post for example I should of put it out at the beginning of the month instead it's toward the end. Yeah that has to stop!

4. Dare to be different: Yeah that might sound kinda cheesy but I have a few things in the works. I want TheKoenigs to be different from others and follow our own path. I've been brain storming ideas and ready to take the next step..which might entail breaking down and asking the techy husband to.

5. Try new things: This could possibly be a part two of dare to be different. I want to go outside my comfort zone this year. Try some new tools, projects, ideas that I wouldn't normally try, because I would be to scared to fail. Take some classes to better my photographs. Anything that could really help me better this hobby of mine.

Thoughts & Rants

I'm so sick that people feel the need to complain on social media sites (Facebook) about how hard and awful their life is. You're life is only awful because that's how you perceive it. Everyone has ups and downs they go through...its not all unicorns and rainbows for me either. Stop trying to get people to feel sorry for you, and change your outlook on things. You Lucky to be alive...hell you have internet, your life cant be that bad.

Why do people feel the need to put status like. "I'm removing  a few non active people from my Facebook. Let me know you want to stay by liking this status." I purposefully don't like those status. I think its an attention seeking cry baby thing to do, I would rather not be your friend. Seriously are we still in high school, or are we grown adults?

I've come to the conclusion that other drivers are all assholes. How DARE you blow your horn at me because I stopped at a red light instead of driving through. Yeah so what you had to slow down and stop ridding my bumper. Sometime I think I should of went to school to be a police officer, I would pull that jerk over and give him a expensive ticket.

Saturdays Random Thoughts & Rants

Does anyone else compare your significant others family and yours, to see what habits and traditions they have that's totally opposite from one another. I'll give you an example (in which neither family is wrong for their traditions) My family normally mourns lost loved ones on their birthday, stays home and reminiscence. Jason's normally go out to eat at the persons favorite place it's their way of celebrating their birthday and remembering them, its super sweet and a great way to keep from being sad on those days. I just love seeing the differences in both our families.

You know what just really rubs me the wrong way? People who answer phone calls, and continues on a conversation on their phone while their on a date or at dinner with family. Its like really dude that phone call cant wait a hour and a half? I think it just rude and make's you look like a tool or a total bey-och. I bring this up because Jason and I noticed a couple across from us at dinner where the woman was on her cell phone, and her boyfriend/husband/whatever looked very mad about it. She just carried along her conversation with no regard for him.

What's also aggravating is having a company send me an email to take their survey to see if i'm eligible to join their special community of diyers. SO I go to take the survey and am told after answering two question that i'm not eligible. Well okay it's good to know you determined that i'm not what you're looking for based off the number of email accounts I check daily and my job title. That whole experience really just buttered my biscuit. Granted i'll still use the companies products because their great, I would of just liked to of been given more of a chance. You cannot base someone qualifications base on their email accounts and job title. But I've notice that when you're in the blogging world you really experience some crazy things that leave you scratching your head dumbfounded.

I hate dealing with people who have emotional leakage. I understand you're having a bad day, but don't take it out on the rest of us. Especially people who are trying to help you out or don't deserve it.

Random Thoughts & Rants

- I find it surprising how much cleaning I can get done when someone calls me 30 minutes before they pay a visit to my house. It gives me enough time to lose my mind and go on a cleaning rampage.

- I hate when people drive slow in the fast lane. We should not be going 5 under the speed limit in the fast lane. Its dangerous having people come speeding up on my bumper and we cant get around you because you're going the same speed as the person next to you.

- I'm a firm believer to not text while driving, yet I see people on a daily basis texting and driving. It hurts me to say that a majority of these people are in my age group. Can we please get some responsibility and drive safely? You're giving people reason's to stereotype our age group as reckless hooligans.

- Rolling with the whole human kind bit, what gives people the right to judge others on their life styles or choices. I personally don't care who you like be it male or female. I don't care how you live your life or run your marriage, and I certainly have no right to make opinions on it. People need to understand that unless it personally effects you in some way....then you need to Shut up. Your opinions are not needed in someone else s relationship or life, you only make yourself look like a fool when you comment. Especially when you live in a glass house yourself...don't go throwing stones.

- What goes through my dogs mind when Jason starts sleep walking at night and wakes everyone up?

Monday Mornings!

Its Monday again lets get motivated and inspired for the week ahead.
