How long do you think it
will take to finish decorating your home the way you want it?
I honestly don’t know. We take out time during each project to
ensure that it gets done correctly. So that 10 years from now we won’t have to
go back and touch up anything. I joke around and say that our home will be
completely done, when we go to move into a new house.
What are some of the
styles in your house?
Well our Living Room I'm going to an industrial chic theme, that's still in the progress.
The dining room is more comtempary and calm.
and the Kitchen is a whole lot of mess.

Almost every product we use on our blog you can buy from your
local home improvement store. We prefer Home Depot but that’s just us. I’m sure
you could buy the same items at Lowes. However if we use a product that you buy
from a specific store we will let you know.
Who takes your photos?
Jamie takes all the photos. Since we live in Florida we get a
lot of natural light, that’s why most of the pictures are taken outside. I have
a lot of respect for photographers and the lengths they go through to get an
amazing picture. I’m sure my neighbors probably think I’m insane, since I’ve
been known to lie on the ground to get a picture.
What’s some of your
favorite products?
Well we haven’t gotten to try a lot of different products, but
some of our favorites are: Minwax Wood Stain in Dark Walnut. It’s the perfect
color stain on any project. We also like the Behr brand spray paint. Only once
were we disappointed with it, when the lady who mixed it didn’t do it
correctly. However that’s not Behr’s fault.
Products you'll never use
again?
I’ve learned my lesson on buying cheap products to save money. I bought some cheap spray paint from Wal-Mart and will never do that again. So far that’s the only bad experience with products.
How is it working
together on projects?
Working together on projects is an experience. For one when we
come across a problem with something, we both have different ideas on a
solution to fix it. With two different opinions comes the whole conversation on
why your idea is best.
I can’t think of one specific thing we won’t ever be build. I’m sure there are a lot of things but I’ve gone blank.
What’s your favorite
project?
My favorite project…well I have two. The first was my grandmothers
sewing cabinet, and the second was the distressed dresser.
My favorite thrift store is “City Rescue Mission Thrift Shop”
over off Normandy Blvd. Every day there’s some sort of special deal. For
instance on Saturdays they have live plants for half off. I don’t get to go as
much as I would like but every time I do, I leave with a car load.
How do you make time for
your blog with a day job?
I honestly don’t know how we do this. A lot of the major work on
a project gets done during the weekend. Then throughout the week we do small
work and finishing touches. So the bulk of our work gets done Friday-Sunday you
could say. We also don’t have kids so we have a lot of time to spare. Big props
to the mother and fathers out there who do this and take care of their kids.
